JEXPO 2023 Eligibility Criteria: JEXPO, also known as Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics, is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) for admission to diploma courses in engineering and technology offered by various polytechnic institutes in the state. The eligibility criteria for JEXPO are as follows:
JEXPO 2023 Eligibility Criteria
a) Minimum Eligibility Qualification
- Candidates must have passed the Secondary Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent with English, Science/Physical Science, and Mathematics among others as subjects securing at least 35% marks (no rounding up) in aggregate as per AICTE norms excluding the marks of the additional subject.
- Students appearing in the Secondary Examination (Madhyamik) of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent are also eligible to apply.
b) Age Limit
Should not be born after 01.07.2005 and there is no upper age limit.
c) Citizenship
The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.

Note: Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for JEXPO. However, they must produce the required documents at the time of counseling/admission.
It is important to note that meeting the above-mentioned eligibility criteria does not guarantee admission to the diploma courses offered by various polytechnic institutes in West Bengal. The final selection is based on the merit list prepared by the WBSCTE based on the candidate’s JEXPO score and other eligibility criteria.
