Step – 1- Who are you?
- Greetings: Formal greetings are highly recommended like the good morning before noon and good evening anytime after 4.30 or 5.00 in the evening till midnight.
- Rules- Smile and be confident and make good eye contact. Common mistakes- casual hi, what’s up and also fumbling between the good morning and the good afternoon.
- Thank you for the opportunity: This is optional and depends on your situation. Say thank you for choosing me for your final interview, or thank you for giving me the opportunity to talk about you. This will not only make a better first impression, but it will make you and the interviewer feel a little more relaxed.
- Your name: You can say- I am…/I’m…/My name is…/My name’s…
- Rule- to smile to be proud of your name and to enunciate it.
- Common mistake- saying myself…or calling yourself miss or mister. Always use your full name because simply using your first name may sound a little casual.
Step- 2: Why you are qualified?
- Position and Company: If you have work experience then this is the time to tell them about the position you held, the name of the company, the number of years or any awards that you’ve won on the company and what impact you’ve had on the company.
- Rules- sound enthusiastic, don’t sound pompous, tell them something over and above your resume, and give proof for your claim.

- Adjectives: Use some adjectives to describe your six-month interviewer, for example, you could use versatile, solution-oriented, easy-going, determined, team player, creative, enjoy working with others etc.
- Hobbies/Passions: It’s an optional step but you want to include this, for example, I’m a trained singer and the daily riyaz has taught me self discipline and dedication or I’m a keen runner and this not only helps me keep fit but also helps me network with other runners in the community.
Step – 3: Why are you here?
- Closing: This is the point you tell the interviewer two things, one, why are you applying for this job?
Two, why are you the right fit for the job? You can also use your plans and connect them to the company’s goal. You can also show off the research that you’ve done about the company and add a little bit of flattery to it as well. You can end your introduction by saying that is all from me, thank you!
Rules- read the job description so you can get some words from there that you can use in the answer and sound enthusiastic about your position.
