Are you want to study engineering? Don’t skip this article. Here, we are going to cover all you need to know before selecting any engineering course; list of engineering branches, list of best engineering courses and scops.
What is Engineering? Engineering is the most popular disciplines of academic education. In this advanced world, practically, we are surrounded by science and engineering. Nowadays, everything we use in our day-to-day life like the mobile phone, computer, car, roads, planes, machines are all products of engineering. In a simple line, engineering is the application of principles of science and mathematics to solve problems of the world. In other words, we may also say engineering helps to make our lives easier.
In the past, there were four major engineering branches; Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. However, in recent times, engineering is a vast field and offers more career choices than any other area. There are several branches and scopes available in the engineering field. We have listed down all the engineering branches and courses available in recent times.
If you want to study engineering, you need to complete the 12th standard in the science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Math as compulsory subjects. Other than this, you have to in various entrance examinations depending upon the institute where you want to study.
Most of the engineering institutes after 12th standard offer B.E. of B.Tech. courses in different branches. The B.E. or B.Tech. is the 4-year degree course in engineering. After graduation, for higher studies, you can go for 2-years M.E. or M.Tech. degree in the same field. One can also go for MBA study after the bachelor degree. In the MBA, you will get the opportunity to study management with technology and making.
Other than this, in India, there are some institutes and colleges offer dual degree; B.Tech. + M.Tech. (5 Years), B.Tech. + MBA (5 Years).
Engineering colleges also offer 3-year diploma in engineering in different branches of engineering. If you want to study 3-year diploma in engineering, you have to look for mainly polytechnic colleges in India. However, some engineering colleges offer both B.E. of B.Tech. and 3-years diploma courses.
